This is to provide evidence of successful germ elimination of the test germ "Geobacillus stearothermophilus". The sterilisation process is thus biologically tested by means of the HyMo box. After sterilisation, the bioindicators are removed and sent to the accredited Hohenstein laboratory for evaluation. Here, the bioindicators are examined in the laboratory. If the test germ "Geobacillus stearothermophilus" grows up, the sterilisation process is not valid and further observations of the sterilisation process must be checked with the operator after the evaluation with regard to the settings (e.g. temperature, programmes, dosage, etc.) and the functioning of the steriliser. Proof of successful germ elimination of the test germ in the laboratory, on the other hand, indicates a safe sterilisation process.The test result of the laboratory examination is sent to the operator as a report with an evaluation by the Hohenstein Laboratory and has the character of a self-monitoring to prove that the steam sterilisation process was successful. If the sterilisation is demonstrably successful, the process is safe in terms of reliably killing germs and the sterile items passing through can be described as sterile. Microorganisms can only penetrate the sterile barrier if it is damaged. The use of bioindicators for sterilisation should help to ensure the biological safety of the equipment. The bioindicators, as well as the sterilisation box (HyMo-Box), which is optionally available as a complete set, can be used in smaller facilities such as outpatient clinics and doctors' practices as well as in hospitals and clinics. With the step-by-step instructions, the responsible staff can carry out the test independently on a regular basis. RODAC Abklatschplatten für Bakterien Mit Hilfe des Abklatschtests kann der Keimgehalt auf Oberflächen bestimmt werden. Beim Abklatschtest werden Plastikbehälter mit Fertignährböden auf Gegenstände gedrückt, um die dort befindlichen Bakterien zu übertragen und im Nachgang zu untersuchen. Durch die Abklatschmethode wird eine hohe Keimausbeute geboten, die im Labor untersucht wird und relevante Aussagen zur Hygienesituation treffen kann. Die Untersuchung ist optimal für Flächen , die nach der Reinigung keimarm sein sollen. Die Ergebnisse der Untersuchung gelten als Orientierungsmöglichkeit. Mögliche Einsatzgebiete sind: Wäscherein, Alten- und Pflegeheime, Kindertagesstätten, Gastro, Gemeinschaftseinrichtungen, Kantinen, Jugenherbergen u.v.m. Quantitative Auswertung der Bakterien Nach dem Abklatschtest erfolgt die quantitative Auswertung der Bakterien. Hierbei wird jede RODAC Platte einzeln ausgewertet, indem die Keimzahl genau geprüft und bestimmt wird. Der messbare Bereich erstreckt sich von 4 KBE/dm2 bis 400 KBE/dm2 . Relevant ist, dass bei desinfizierten Flächen weniger als 50 KBE/dm2 erreicht werden sollten. Des Weiteren kann eine Differenzierung der Kolonien vorgenommen werden, so können Haut-, Wasser- und Darmkeime bestimmt werden. Dadurch besteht die Möglichkeit einen Hinweis auf den Ursprung der Keime zu erhalten und Optimierungsmaßnahmen zu treffen. RODAC Abklatschplatten zur Untersuchung von Pilzen Bei einer Abklatschuntersuchung von Pilzen wird ein Objektträger (RODAC Platte) mit einem Pilzmedium direkt an eine Oberfläche gedrückt, die dann speziell auf Hefe- und Schimmelpilze untersucht werden kann. Somit können hygienische Maßnahmen überprüft und verbessert werden. Auf der Oberfläche sollte nach erfolgreicher Desinfektion weniger als 50 KBE/dm2 nachgewiesen werden. Sedimentations- Platten zur Bestimmung des Luftkeimgehalts von BakterienBakterien, die über die Luft übertragen werden, können Produkte und Prozesse nachhaltig schädigen. Daher gewinnt eine effektive Luftkeimüberwachung zunehmend an Bedeutung. Der Luftkeimgehalt von Bakterien wird mittels des Sedimentationsplattenverfahren bestimmt. Die RODAC Platten werden offen stehen gelassen, damit sich die Luftkeime dort absetzen. Im Nachgang kann der Keimgehalt analysiert werden. Zur Referenz wird mit demselben Verfahren der Luftkeimgehalt der Außenluft gemessen. Relevant ist, dass die RODAC Platten nur für einen definierten Zeitraum offen stehen gelassen werden. Sedimentations- Platten zur Bestimmung des Luftkeimgehaltes von Hefen und Schimmelpilzen Der Luftkeimgehalt wird mittels des Sedimentationsplattenverfahrens bestimmt, indem die RODAC Platten mit Pilzmedium offen stehen gelassen werden. So können sich innerhalb eines definierten Zeitraumes die Luftkeime absetzen und im Nachhinein analysiert werden. Als Referenz wird eine Messung der Außenluft mit Hilfe desselben Verfahrens gemacht. Anzahl der Untersuchungsberichte Der Untersuchungsbericht enthält relevante Informationen zur Untersuchungsnummer, Probeentnahmestelle, Resultate und Untersuchungsdatum. Hier besteht die Möglichkeit einen Gesamtbericht als Zusammenfassung zu erhalten oder für jeden untersuchten Bereich einen einzelnen Bericht. Es sind bis zu vier Untersuchungsberichte möglich. Zertifikat "Überwachte Hygiene" Durch das Zertifikat "Überwachte Hygiene" wird nachgewiesen, dass mikrobiologische Eigenkontrolle in Zusammenarbeit mit Hohenstein durchgeführt wurde. Hier besteht die Möglichkeit bis zu 4 Zertifikate für verschiedene Räumlichkeiten zu erwerben. In dem Zertifikat sind der Bericht, der Zeitpunkt der Untersuchung, die Probeentnahmestelle und die Ergebnisse enthalten. Temperaturaufzeichnung Bei der Temperaturaufzeichnung wird mit Hilfe von Temperaturloggern der Temperaturverlauf in der Waschmaschine überprüft. Dieses Angebot richtete sich an Wäscherein, RAL- und Nicht-RAL-Betriebe, Waschsalons, Gebäudereinigungen mit eigener Waschmaschine u.v.m.  Ein im Lieferumfang enthaltenes Wäschenetz wird zusammen mit der Wäsche gewaschen und zurückgesendet. Des Weiteren müssen die Parameter Zeit und Temperatur angegeben werden. So kann das Wasch- und Desinfektionsverfahren nachgewiesen und die Waschmaschine kontrolliert werden. Die Waschmaschinenbezeichnung und das Waschverfahren müssen für den Bericht dokumentiert werden. Die Temperaturlogger werden regelmäßig auf Funktion und Genauigkeit überprüft. Bioindikatoren: Validierung von Waschverfahren Für die Validierung von Waschverfahren gibt es Modul A für die Überprüfung von Bakterien und Modul B für die Überprüfung von Viren. Im Modul A sind fünf Bioindikatoren Staphylococcus aureus und Enterococcus faecium sowie ein Bioindikator als Transportkontrolle enthalten. In Modul B sind fünf Bioindikatoren des Bakterienvirus MS2-Phage und ein Bioindikator als Transportkontrolle enthalten. Die Bioindikatoren werden in einem Wäschenetz geliefert und müssen in einem desinfizierenden Waschverfahren gewaschen werden. Dies kann thermisch oder chemothermisch erfolgen. Die einzelnen Mullbindenschläuche sind mit Prüfkeimen gefüllt und müssen mittels Pinzette in getrennte Gefäße umgepackt werden. Dies wird dann mit dem bereitgestellten Nährmedium übergossen und zurückgesendet. Danach kann überprüft werden, ob Mikroorganismen enthalten sind. Bei einem erfolgreichen Desinfektionsvorgang sollten keine Mikroorganismen nachgewiesen werden können. Die Bioindikatoren, welche als Transportkontrolle enthalten sind, dienen zur Überwachung, ob die Prüfkeime auf dem Transportweg geschädigt wurden. Mit diesen Bioindikatoren muss nichts gemacht werden. Überprüfung von Geschirrspülmaschinen (Küche) Zur Überprüfung von Geschirrspülmaschinen besteht die Möglichkeit acht Bioindikatoren Enterococcus faecium und einen Bioindikator als Transportkontrolle auszuwählen. Die Bioindikatoren werden zum Geschirr hinzugegeben und danach zur Überprüfung in das Labor von Hohenstein verschickt. Gemäß DIN EN ISO 15883 müssen acht Bioindikatoren im Besteckkasten der Maschinen geprüft werden. Des weiteren lassen sich mit diesen Bioindikatoren auch mikrobiologische Validierungen und Routinekontrolle von Containerwaschanlagen gemäß DIN 58955-4 durchführen. Der Bioindikator für Transportkontrollen dient zur Überwachung der Unversehrtheit der Prüfkeime während des Transports. Prüfung von Dampf-Sterilisatoren Zur Überprüfung von Dampf-Sterilisatoren gibt es die Möglichkeit zwei Bioindikatoren mit Sporen von Geobacillus stearothermophilus und einen Bioindikator zur Transportkontrolle auszuwählen. Alle Geräte bis zu einer Größe von 250 L Rauminhalt können mit zwei Bioindikatoren überprüft werden. Die Bioindikatoren entsprechen den Anforderungen der Normen ISO 1138-3 und DIN EN ISO 17665 sowie DIN 58946-8. Die Überprüfung erfolgt während des Sterilisiervorgangs bei 121 Grad Celsius für 15 Minuten, indem die Bioindikatoren vorne und hinten in das Gerät gelegt werden. Danach werden die Bioindikatoren zurückgesendet. Bei einer ausreichenden Sterilisation werden alle Sporen abgetötet. Die Überprüfung kann für alle Geräte aller Fabrikate angewendet werden. Dies sind vertikale Standautoklaven, horizontale Tischautoklaven, horizontale Standautoklaven und Durchreiche-Autoklaven. Trendauswertung Die Trendauswertung wird nach dreimaliger Analyse empfohlen, weil ab diesem Zeitpunkt genügend Daten für eine Auswertung vorliegen. So kann überprüft werden, wie sich die Ergebnisse verändern und ob ggf. Verbesserungsmaßnahmen erfolgreich umgesetzt wurden. Des Weiteren kann auf Änderungen schnell reagiert werden.
